Music

Started Playing in 2012

IMG-4027.jpg

I got into music in elementary school when my mom enrolled me in piano lessons. I eventually wanted out of piano lessons because I felt it was too strict for something that was supposed to be a hobby. Around 2012 I started to teach myself guitar on my dad's old cheap guitar. The following Christmas they got me my own guitar, and I would practice with my grandfather whose been playing his whole life. I still occasionally play the piano, but my instrument of choice is a guitar. Since learning my collection has grown, and even more so since moving to Conway and having more space. I hope to soon expand my collection more and get a four string bass guitar.

Art: Painting & Upcycling

ART

Recycled/Upcycled

Since moving to Conway this past summer I have become really avid in making art. I always try to use up-cycled or recycled materials when making art. I have made ninety-nine percent of the art in my apartment.

My favorite form of art right now is painting, but I've recently made things including light covers (as pictured), plant hangers, digital art, fabric dying, and embroidery. My original interest took shape in the form of photography at a really young age. I love to shoot nature and animals, but in highschool I got really into sports and portrait photography while on Cabot's yearbook staff.

Gardening

Houseplants /  Propagating

I got into gardening around last January when my grandmother revived a dying golden pothos, pictured, and gave it to me for my birthday. I have since gotten about thirteen more houseplants and am consistently buying more and finding new nurseries.

My favorite plant types are tropical, including: cat palms, philodendrons, and chinese evergreens.
